Had a TT YM on my wrist on the weekend..
And I gotta say, it is really not for me. I just cannot like YG on a watch. It had the white dial and I must say it isnt a pretty combo. I am sure the blue looks way better, but the markers on the white dial are non-lume black, but there is a small dot of lume on the inside of the marker toward the centre of the dial. Again... not my cuppa.
And for CDN$11,500 list, you would think you would get a better clasp. LOL... but that is a helluva premium for a tarted up Sub. |

Hi Johnny,
Agreed with you as far as the colour white is concerned; but you do realise that the dial is onyx and the surrounds around the black dots are solid gold. But yes I did have that dial as an option and still went in for the blue over white, champagne and silver/grey. Agreed too that Rolex could have given a better clasp (like the Daytona's) instead of the normal Oysterlock clasp. Other than that, I really wouldn't consider the TT YM as much a tool watch as the SS/Pt one. The gold on the bezel could get scratched quite easily, but then I hardly ever use my watches as tools - more like glamour and to tell time and date!!

Yeah I realized all of that... but it really did nothing for me (no offence, my friend). I just tried it on out of curiosity because it was the first TT YM full-size I had ever seen.
On the other hand, baby Atomic was with me and she sat herself down in front of the ladies Rolex cabinet and started pointing at watches and saying tick, tick, tick, tick, tick... lol. Forget about a university fund... I am now starting a baby Atomic watch fund. |

She is a Jr. WIS in training, LOL!!
I do agree John, I find that I can't do the YG in a watch, unless you are talking dressier.
