Submariner 116610 LV and 116613LB

Just had a question I was looking to get some opinions on. I own a Submariner Date (LN) and really love it. I've always admired the LV due to its sunburst dial and was hoping to get one within the next year. However, that is not likely going to happen in the UK with the current shortage situation. I hadn't considered the 116613LB but actually the blue sunburst also looks very special. I haven't seen either watch in person yet but I know that I would be able to get the LB a lot more easily. It actually makes sense to get the 116613LB over the 116610LV as the cost (assuming i'd have to go grey with the LV) would be about the same. Any thoughts? Or is the general consensus that the green sunburst dial and the stainless steel of the 116610 LV make it the 'better' watch? I'd love to hear some opinions. Thanks.

How is this a question? This should be what you want, not down to what others 'think' are nicer. Go to watchfinder and compare them both side by side and make the decision for yourself.

As you are in MK, I take it you're on the wait-list with Fraser Hart?

As far as the choice of watches go, I'd go for the Hulk all day long!

get what YOU like.

I have owned both of these and still own the 116613LB. Both watches are great but I fell out of love with the LV. I never fell out of love with the Blue sunburst in over 5 years already.

I fell out of love with the LB after 24months of daily wear.
I would like to get a LV but cannot even get on a list. I won’t/can’t buy grey because of the price.

This.

I’d almost certainly never buy from them, but I do like using them to try watches on, since they actually have stock. Having to put up with the sales patter BS is a small price to pay.

Incidentally this thread made me check out their TT Sub LB stock and they’re selling a 2019 watch for £2k over list . One of the portents of the Apocalypse no doubt.

Thanks, yes on that list and have been for a while! Not hopeful.

I would far rather have a bluesy. But, that's me.

I have had both at the same time. Like the LB more. The LV is fun, but I couldn't see it as a daily.

The better watch out of those two, is the one you’ll enjoy wearing the most!

I can’t see the LB as a daily. LV is flashy too but looks subtle compared to the LB. but in the end, but what sings to you.

Have you bought from them before? How long have you been on the list? Have you spoken with Lisa?

Failing that, have you purchased from any other AD's?

I can't speak much to the LB since I've never owned one, but I love my LV which I picked up from an AD earlier this year. You probably can't go wrong with either one though since I too really enjoy the changing color of the sunburst dial which is what drew me to the LV to begin with.

I wear my LV almost daily and I personally don't mind that it doesn't really match any of my outfits. The fact that it doesn't match makes it a more unique watch to wear in my mind.

Your message prompted me to contact them. Not much joy at all as the list is no longer kept in store but sent off to head office who will then allocate watches dependant on a number of factors. Yes, I've bought a Rolex from them before. And yes, I've bought from other ADs but I find the process of trying to find the LV a little draining as I'm not sure I want to ring several ADs to have the same conversation.

Thank you, that's great feedback!

Have got the LV, and have had a Bluesy. Both stunning pieces!

If you need the 116613 from a local AD, I know one very close to you that will help out (Not Fraser Hart).
