Selling for only £4,500 OBO, my beloved Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Triple Date Moonphase. Reference 02.0240.410/01, it is a real iconic watch from 2000 and is fast becoming a much loved collectors piece. I’ve really enjoyed this piece and it gets many compliments but I have the itch for a higher end piece, and thus the proceeds of this sale will go towards that.

This watch is in excellent condition, sparingly worn and has been lovingly looked after since its manufacture in 2000. It is one of the nicest, cleanest and complete examples out there, where no expense has been spared on its servicing and maintenance over the years.

The case is in excellent condition with minimal polishing carried out. The watch has been regularly serviced over the years, the most recent carried out by Zenith HQ in Le Locle Switzerland in April 2019- Watch is still in its post serviced polymer protection wraps. All service reports, breakdown, emails and timing reports included. Current movement accuracy/ timekeeping rated at +/- 2.2 seconds, which is pretty amazing for such a piece, and puts modern timepieces to shame. The current service and all associated work is under Zenith warranty until April 2020. Realistically, the watch will not need to be serviced until another 5-10 years.

Very expensive and period correct new Zenith parts such as new crystal, crown, gold moonphase disc and chrono pushers amongst other items have been installed very recently. It also comes fitted with a brand new bracelet (worth £700/$800). The old bracelet along with the parts replaced over the years are also included in this sale. Some of these parts are still useable in a second hand/used capacity and could be sold on as useable donor parts if required (gold moonphase disc, chrono pushers, corrector pushers, chrono hand, barrel and others). Thousands of pounds have been spent on this watch over the years to ensure it is of the best quality.

In my opinion the watch and it’s associated material looks like it’s been in a time capsule. Everything that the watch came with is still present, such as the outer card box, leatherette box, cushion, COSC certificate, user manuals, plastic wrap, warranty cards etc.

As an added bonus I have also included a 2019 signed personal note from Zenith CEO Mr Julien Tornare from when the watch was given in for (April 2019) service, also included is a lovely note with the names and signatures of all the Zenith watchmakers involved in servicing the watch. Finally, I have included a new pair of officially branded Zenith microfiber gloves worth around £50.

The Zenith Moon Phase ChronoMaster cal. 410Z (updated) movement has 354 parts and 11 complications (automatic, hours, minutes, permanent seconds, column wheel chronograph, minute counter, hour counter, date, day, month, moonphase).

The Iconic El Primero movement with smooth sweeping 36,000 vph movement measures 1/10th of a second. The updated mechanical automatic self-winding caliber 410Z movement is rhodium-plated. It's constructed with 31 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. Included is a monometallic balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a micrometer regulator.
