Put a gold strap on the Patek and it's hands down......and I'm a Rolex fan, but that's a stunning piece.

If I'm going to spend the kind of money you're about to, I would certainly want a bracelet.

After going through a huge Patek phase I'm now all about rolex. You can't go wrong and I suspect most would go for the Patek. For me it came down to what was more practical. Would I play football with the kids, would I wear it on a beach, would I swim in it, would I travel around the world with it as my single watch. Answer for me was rolex yes, Patek no.

Patek...for the best bang for your buck.

I prefer the Rolex...but not at that price.

Usually these threads are pretty obvious. But I gotta say, this is a toughie. I think it would depend on what else you have in your collection.

I'm not a Patek fanboy but in this instance I'd go for the Patek. the 5205 is a beautiful watch. Personally I'd go for the rose gold version though - that's got the perfect combination of understatement and luxury.

Everyone can wear Rolex, but not everyone can wear Patek!
The design of the Sky-Dweller is kinda odd to me

If you want the "bling", then the Rolex. If you are looking for the understated elegance, then the PP 5205. The Sky Dweller doesn't have the day indicator and it is much thicker than the PP AC.

all people want to try more into luxury brand such as PP, AP, VC, Lange etc.

AT THE END OF THE DAY, YOU WILL BE BACK TO ROLEX

so Rolex Skydweller is the answer.
