Modest Collection and Next Watch

I’ve been contemplating for quite a while to either add a white dial Daytona C, SS Pepsi GMT, or sell off a watch and add a 44mm AP titanium. What would you do?

Has to be your choice obviously, but my opinion, if you didn’t already own an AP I’d go that route but I think a DaytonaC would fit perfectly in that collection.

I would add a white dial DaytonaC if you can grab one. Nice collection by the way!

Nothing modest about that PP As stated above, a Daytona would fit right in

Daytona.

Btw, you need a Sub or Sea dweller!

I think the watch would be too big for my wrists. I’m leaning towards the Daytona C or Pepsi if I can ever get my hands on it.

I wasn't a fan of the new Pepsi until I saw it at a reveal and it looked and felt fabulous in person. It screams Rolex, I mean it looks hi profile and very noticeable. I did get on "the list" whatever that means. I then tried on the LN and that definitely works for me as well. No denying the Daytona though, you can't make a mistake with either one.

I would sell the AP you already have and get something that's as refined as the other 3 pieces you have.

What do you wear the least, would you miss it if you sold it?
I would sell the DJ and the 5712, neither watch is my taste, the BLNR and the RC are great

If it were me (and it is not), I would consider the following. If you like the new ss Pepsi, I would sell/trade the BLNR for the Pepsi. I would also consider adding adding a sub, particularly a Hulk or the five digit Kermit. I am not a fan of the Daytona. I have owned one and it wears small and although I didn’t think the lack of a date complication would bother me, it did.

I would flip the BLNR for the new Pepsi and the DJ for the D500, if it were me. Or possibly flip the BLNR for an LN and add the Pepsi...

The AP is very comfortable with the rubber strap and is my go to for a more sportier watch when I dress down or go to sports games. I was thinking of letting the AP go and getting another rolex, but then I feel like my collection wouldn’t be as diverse.

Datejust is what I got my wife. It’s just in my watch box. I am considering letting the BLNR go for the Pepsi as having 2 GMTs would be pointless. The current watches are already fighting for wrist time in the rotation.

The datejust belongs to the wife. The 5712 is my grail watch so it’s staying as I let go of a 5711 as it was resundant. It will be passed down to the next generation in the future.

Not a fan of the green. I’ve passed on the opportunity severals times to purchase. Diffinitely leaning towards the daytona. If I can get the Pepsi first, I’ll purchase it and let it go when my name comes up at an AD.

The AP Ti44 is a wonderful and comfortable watch. I was initially wearing it only on the weekends, but it has slowly become my daily wearer. It’s also nice being able to switch between different size watches during the week. Good luck!

Of course get whatever you like but if you get a chance wear the Daytona for a while. As I said in my previous post, the Daytona wears small. Given the wrist presence of the other watches in your collection, you may be surprised. It wears much smaller than the BLNR.

I’ve never tried on a 44mm. Is it heavy for a daily wear? My AP is the heaviest watch I own. Not a fan of PM pieces.

I’d sell 1 and then add 2.

The datejust would go and I’d bring in the white 116500 and I’d go for the new Pepsi, but as you have the BLNR, maybe either a sd43 or hulk.
