Incoming - Platinum Daytona 116506

Was on the fence about this one for a couple weeks, since it's a lot of money for a single watch. Instead of this, I could have had a ceramic daytona in steel with over 40k left over for some other heavy hitter, I was thinking the WG BLRO. But, paying a big premium for that steel piece didn't feel as good as getting a discount off retail for a big boy PM daytona.

Owners have commented on the weight of the thing, but it doesn't bother me at all. Now, my other pieces just feel super light. I like the heft a lot.

The brown is probably a love it or hate it thing, but I actually like it a lot and wish it were more obvious - in most lighting it fades to black. I do wish the blue were slightly more blue but it's good enough for me

Shoutout to SohAIS for hooking me up. Very responsible and professional, but you probably already knew that! Also shoutout to myself, instagram @watchesbeijing shameless self promotion lets go!

I hate to disappoint you but I'm fairly new to the game and my collection is fairly limited - that watch from my insta is my first Chinese piece, acquired only a few days ago! Of course, I am very interested in getting deeper into chinese watchmaking, so I hope you stick around. Also, regarding that 1963 chronograph, I'm not sure if you know the history of that watch but the original (produced in 1963) was extremely limited in production. The piece I have is a "re-issue" that has gotten quite popular in recent years. It itself is not vintage but it is an homage to the vintage piece. Still very cool in my opinion! Thanks.
