I'm not exactly "hard core." Sure, I got the Luminor GMT, one of the most popular Panerai, but I started with the 91, one of the least liked.

As for straps, I'm not such a great explorer either. About half a dozen and I'm done.

Although I'm not Panerai-ed out yet, this is the latest object of my watch lust.

Nothing much changes with me, except getting a new watch every now and then. The latest is a Tissot T Navigator 3000, which I'm having a lot of fun with.

The Beetle is giving me a couple of minor headaches, both of which are my fault. Seems that when I had it fixed after its accident last Christmas, the headlights can no longer be aimed. Until I plunk down $1500.

I can understand why you're lusting for that one, Alan. That's my kind of complication watch. Keep dreaming, pal. Sometimes dreams do come to life.

Depends on how much you spend on one of their watches. I think they limit cap distribution to high rollers ($75K and above). Otherwise, they don't have enough of a margin to warrent givaways.

I am itching for an 88 pretty bad, debating moving my 27C for one. I think that watch is so good looking.

To most other people, 6 straps for one watch is insane pal.

That baby in the pic would turn more than just a few heads.

Hi all,

Just picked up my first Rolex from an AD on Wednesday, a black-bezeled SS GMT Master II.

Not a very frequent poster on any of the various forums, work keeps me busy, but I try to read and keep up with the knowledge and fun everybody shares.

Cheers,

The GMT/Alarm movement is shared by Breguet and Blancpain. Available in a steel case from BP for thousands less than the Breguet. But the design team at Breguet did it so much more nicely.

I'll add my welcome to TRF, Robert. Glad you could join us. Stick around and enjoy yourself here. There's a bunch of really nice people, and one wacko (you can very easily figure out who he is ), but we tolerate him because he is funny.
