Here's the thing, it was the smartest move Tudor has made. They had a freebie year this year from a design perspective. Let's be honest, they will release bb58s in different bezel colours next year and a 58 gmt after that, and people will go nuts and forget any wrongdoing. And it meant that they could take a risk and experiment this year with essentially no major repercussions. They could test the waters and see if they made any hits, and always fall back on a watch that will become their trademark over the next decade or two (bb58s will be their main fleet).

I personally don't think they succeeded with the risk, but it certainly didnt hurt them and I see why they did it. While I cannot abide that horrendous bezel lock travesty of a watch, I actually really like the chrono. 50%? That's a pass in my books!

I like the S&G Chronograph, it's very classy IMHO. Looks so vintage. I'm not a fan of the P01, though! Very specialized appeal...

The Chrono is compromised by having gold plate and not solid gold at its price point but it's a nice watch, kind of Reminds me of Vintage John Player Special racing colours. I believe the PO1 is much nicer in person than in pictures, not a fan of the bracelet though.

The BB Chrono S&G is beautiful but at $6,000 it's a joke that it doesn't even have real 18k gold components. That's gold plate you see there.

The P01 has a great looking dial and bezel and primary case, but the endlinks and abomination of a bracelet are hideous. I'm hoping they just make it into a regular watch because otherwise I really like it.

From my understanding the BB Chrono is actually "Gold Capped" i.e. a thick 18k piece of gold wrapped around a steel centre link. The crown, end links, chronograph pushers are 18k solid gold.
