Tapatalk Issue

Yes it was happening a week or so ago for me. TapaTalk issued an update - have you installed this one? Version 8.1.1 is the current one...

I hate Tapatalk and stopped using it, except once in a while to post a picture. My little rebellion is that when I quote someone with that "posted on Tapatalk" tag line, I delete it.

I'll show them!!!

Happens to me ALL the time

And I have the latest update....

I wonder if paying for the Tapatalk pro (or whatever it’s called) app will help

I’m just not overly happy about how this one works; that’s why I haven’t paid for the other

How do you reset the app?

It has been happening to me. It's super annoying. It's funny because I was just thinking to myself the other day, "boy, tapatalk has been working great for a while without any glitches." and then low and behold it starts glitching out. Seems to happen a lot.

Paying for the non-ad version doesn’t help. It still happens to me every once in a while. Sometimes refreshing the app helps, but most of the time I just delete the app and reinstall it and that generally does the trick.

When I reached out to Tapatalk for another non-related issue, they said the Forum owner would need to update the Tapatalk plugin.

Perhaps it’s the same issue here. When TRF is going through an update on the back end that we can’t see?

Clearing the Tapatalk cache usually stops that for me...for a while, then I have to repeat the process.

Hmmm, I didn't pay for Tapatalk, and don't see any ads. Hope I didn't jinx myself just now.

Re: the topic, I started getting the same message a couple weeks ago (I think), but it didn't follow any apparent pattern - I'll get it on some threads and then others show up properly without any intervention. I've tried killing Tapatalk from running on the background (Whatever swiping up from the bottom on iOS is called) and that doesn't seem to have any repeatable impact either.

Thanks for letting me know.

Hopefully a moderator will see your post and maybe let us know about that update on the plugin.

For now, I cleared the cache and reset the app (I think) and it looks like it’s doing better

Honestly, I think I get an error probably 50% of the time

Or at least 40% of the time

It’s irritating

I use an iPhone and close the app and then reopen it.
