FS Pink Gold Patek Philippe Ref 1578

For sale is my 18k Rose Gold Patek Philippe Reference 1578, oversize men’s watch manufactured circa 1951. Dial has the correct black inlaid text and markers around the circumference and those are in great condition.

Note that the 7:00 marker has been replaced or reattached to the dial, and was done so by adding a small hole to the dial. 10:00 marker has some discoloration around it, as pictured. There is a small depression in the dial between 11:00 and 12:00. It appears to be the same size as the dial foot on the back. Minute hand has a small polished mark on it.

Sale is for the watch head only. We will include a strap as a convenience, but it is not pictured and the strap has no value. Wears great and is an awesome watch to add to your collection! We don’t see these Vintage Rose Gold Patek pieces come up often! Reference 1578 was manufactured between the years 1949 and 1962.

Note that this watch was a presentation piece for a pilot with Panair do Brasil. The original owner is a local and this watch has been in the nearby area since it was obtained by the owner. Not sure how or when the dial was worked on. That was not done by us.

Keeps good time. Last service appears to be year 2011. Has been in storage since then.
