Considering the disappointing releases this year my guess is it will only go up.

Last I looked $HK168,000 or $US21,400 plus currency conversion/credit card fees. They’re a mighty big, weighty piece of kit. They are certainly statement pieces and one day I may well go that way. Save me doing weight training on that arm.

The return of Halley's comet might be shorter than the wait time for the Blue SkyDweller.

In Australia there is no list. Go into an AD and walk out with the sadness that you can't even get your name down. However if i spent over a 100k in one day buying other watches id be shortlisted.

Rolex and AD's are only feeding the VIP's.

Go on a trip to space with Matthew McConaughey. You may be gone a little longer than expected, but by the time you come back you should be "next on the list"!

True, no more lists and I even offered to buy skydweller blue, smurf and 5711 all in one hit and they said “wish we could” and I’m a known customer too !

Harder to get than a Daytona and Pepsi combined! The most difficult SS piece to acquire from an AD.

LOL. So you offered to buy 3 heavy hitters, and surprised the AD declined?

The AD would have no trouble selling any one of the above 3 pieces, individually.

Instead, you should have offered to buy a couple of lady's DJ's, a couple of men's DJ's, and a precious metal... all at RRP. Perhaps the AD's tone might change and, suddenly, one of the above 3 you wanted might magically appear.

Not surprised lol, bewildered cause I still don’t know what gets you on the vip list as I have bought a dd40 YG and a dj36 off them previously as well other more “desirable” pieces.

I think that it is the most impressive of all of the sought after pieces. I wouldn’t turn down a black dial

Haha. You’d be surprised. I have Pepsi, but I’m on a list for a DJ!

I cant believe that didn’t work! You should have offered to buy both SS Daytonas as well, that would’ve worked....

On a serious note- I’ve got a great relationship with two ADs and both have only received one blue dial since the watch was released. (I bought one). It took me two years to get it. I was about three days from giving up and either paying the premium or i was going to buy a DD40 blue dial. I almost passed out when i got the text with it in the pic. These ADs have gotten a few white Daytonas and more black Daytonas and Pepsis. The blue SkyD is hands down the hardest in the Rolex lineup. Lastly, ill add- with the white Daytona being a close second, the blue SkyD IS my favorite of all time!!!!!

I feel the same way, but my tastes are not always mainstream. However, doesn't make a difference, cos the white isn't available anyway!

I would not pass up a white if it was offered to me at retail price.
