Helping Choosing Which Coctail Time
Hi guys. I've always admired the Cocktail Time SARB065. And I really love the blue on the newer Presage dial compared to the more silver blue looking older SARB065 dial. It's much more noticeable. Plus I like the more onion looking crown on the newer Presage.
However, I like the build quality of the 6R15 in the older SARB065 compared to the 4R35 found in the newer Presage. All the reading I've done supports my opinion. And I have the 6R15 in two other Seikos and I'm very impressed. I have no experience with the 4R35. So I have a bit of a dilemma. Do I go with the cooler color dial with a "lesser" movement, or the other dial with a better movement, that although I like, isn't as nice looking in my opinion? Is the 6R15 truly a noticeable better movement? What would you guys do? Or, do I have too many Seikos and just save my money and buy nothing |

In terms of pure looks, and especially if you like blue, I highly recommend this. Just dazzling the dial. Sorry, I can't remember the ref but it's a current production.

Why make a decision. Get both! I bought this one off Amazon for around $300. Should be able to pick up an old cocktail time for about the same. |

Getting both is an idea. I found the newer Presage for $300 too and the older Cocktail for $465. I was going to wait for another 10 or 15% coupon on eBay to get one of them from a seller in Japan as their prices are cheaper. It's what I did with my Alpinist and love it with the 6R15 and a jubilee bracelet. |

But to me, it seems like you'd be much more satisfied with the blue dial as it seems you'd enjoy it more based on looks alone |

Settled on the SARB065 because of the better movement and original release. Beautiful watch. Put it on a German made high quality mesh. Also bought a black genuine lizard Hirsch strap to switch it up. Overall very happy. Good use of eBay bucks.

The Milanese mesh looks good. Original strap not so good.
