I've yet to see a 5164 with a green strap let alone a green khaki Travel Time dial! That would look absolutely amazing (and I'm sure would garner an insanely high auction price given the 5167a Sothesby final auction price for the green khaki).

I'm not sure if the 5167 and the 5164 straps are interchangeable (I believe the width of the 5164 is a bit larger), but if they are, then sourcing one would be possible if Patek is not producing a green khaki 5164 dial.

Keep me posted, I'd love to see it on a Travel Time!

Best, David

If the strap was the only thing that would be easy. Guess I need to get the 5167 first!

I have seen it on the 5164. There are more than few instagram pics of it too. Still trying to get a confirmation from Patek on shipping time.

Yeah, I size and change all of my tropical straps. At first, I was a bit reluctant to do so, but after reading Puffy's tutorial and taking considerable time, it all worked out.

Here is a link to the thread:

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...highlight=5167

You'll need a spring bar tool, I use the Bergeon No. 6111 which can be purchased at Otto Frei.

Here's what my set-up look like (you can see Puffy's tutorial on my phone in the background for reference):

Let me know if have any questions. All the best, David
Thanks David! Yes I read puffs post when I got my 5167 and I'm comfortable with sizing the strap. I am just a bit hesitant to change straps as I have heard it's difficult and don't want to scratch up my watch. Maybe I'll be daring and do it when I order green strap. Thanks again

Thanks Jay.

Would love to see the Instagram pics if you could take a screen shot (can't seem to find them myself).

Here's you go.

Does anyone know of the straps are the same size on the 5164 and the 5167?

Still wearing the green strap; I've found that it goes well if I'm wearing more navy/brown combos.

Thanks for the inspirational pics. My green "khaki" straps came in and I picked them up almost 2 weeks ago, but haven't had time to fit them. I should of just had the AD do it.

I think the strap looks amazing on the 5164 too!

Would love to know if Patek has chosen to make a green khaki 5164 dial

Other than the green khaki, I believe that black and brown (for the rose gold models) are the only other colors.

I would love to see more strap color options for the aquanaut line

Yes I was guessing those were the only colors.

I am looking for something like that for my travel time...

Thanks!

Seems like light green, is it?

Or is it more military green?

Guys is H970.1202.VT the khaki tropical strap for the 5167?

I ordered it for my 5164 thinking that they were interchangeable

Does anyone have the correct ref for the khaki strap for the 5164?

Thanks

You ordered it from who/where?
If the AP Boutique, didn’t you mention it was for your 5164?
If not, then contact them pronto and have them amend the order.

Well Ive been in the same boat. I got a reply from my AD that Patek doesn't make a green strap for the 5164, only for the 5167. Apparently since they are the same lug width straps people are wearing it on the 5164 too. If you've heard differently or if Patek has confirmed a 5164 green strap I would love to hear it. Cheers.

Jay, I've seen a 5167 strap on a 5164 and it works but the thickness or height of the lugs on the 5164 is higher so the strap doesn't come all the way flush with the top of the lugs. It's noticeable that it's the wrong strap.

Ordered it from my PP AD - I have already received it but I haven't had chance to try it on my 5164. I will call the PP Boutique in London to confirm it is not available for the 5164 and will then do as others have and use this on my 5164.

Love that green strap. Has anyone see any pics of the 5167a with the brown strap from the RG version? Curious how that would look with the dial or if it solely goes with the RG version

That's what I figured Martin, thanks. I've seen a bunch of pics from different folks on instagram of the 5164 with the green strap so I'm assuming they're ok with the difference. Probably order it as the price is ok and see if it works for me.
