It would obviously be $. Just look back in the forum for the pricing that preowned pieces sold for over 1-2 years ago. If he paid list or only got a 10% deal and sold at the prices back then there was likely a loss.

How long ago did you sell it?

For how much of a loss?

What did you buy instead?

Now that you sold it, do you want it back or was it fun while it lasted but fine moving on?

I’m contending they aren’t going much of any below purchase price due to availability.
Last offer I got was $20k on a unit 1 year from service. That’s very little if any of a loss considering wear.

Very true but that is today where there is a waitlist! If the watch was bought and sold a couple of years ago when used pieces were being LISTED at $19k and likely sold for less then there were definitely owners that could have lost money.

I'm sure there are also people out there that lost money on their 5711 or 5167 if they bought at list and sold preowned prior to the current craze.

DavidSW has a 2015 FPJ CB up for $24K. Looks like the price is catching up with demand - it seemed strange to me there are long waitlists for this piece and yet they were trading at discounts.

Do you live in Canada?
I was told the same thing lol.
Really hard to source this watch as a Canadian :(

I have both the 5167 and CB. The CB is very easy to wear, but it is in Geneva for service so have been wearing the 5167 much more lately.

Between the two, CB feels much more special due to virtually every component being more unique than anything else at its price point.

Yes I am in Canada.

Not hard to source this watch even living here. Just call the Geneva boutique and leave them a 30% deposit. You wait a couple of months and they send it over. On import you pay the sales tax in your province, no duties. The VAT excluded price is cheaper than the Canadian list IIRC, so you're no worse off than if the AD here sold it to you directly without the games.

I was at the Geneva boutique a few days ago. I was told about a year and a half wait list.

I have been looking at this watch seriously since early last year, wondering if it would be a keeper for me or not. Finally ordered one and it arrives tomorrow !

I’m pretty sure I will keep it, but if not I feel I made a good decision considering I can sell it close to Msrp even after a few years.

Wow. If so, it wouldn’t surprise me if a price increase is right around the corner

Though mine took only 4 months or so to arrive.

Where did you order yours from? And be sure to post pics and your impressions when you receive it!

Purchased at the Los Angeles boutique. I ordered back in December I think

Watch is beautiful. I love the dial, strap, and it’s slim profile. I really appreciate the weight of the tantalum.

It really fits with my personality of casual/semi casual dressing. This was in fact my main problem with the some of the Breguets I considered. They are really dress watches, and I rarely dress up.

I’m trying to upload pics but it says my iPhone pics are too big to be uploaded. Not sure how to do it

Thanks.

You have to resize the image. There is a pixel and size limit to post on here (can't remember the pixel limit off the top of my head, but I think it's something like 1250x1000)

Los Angeles is now saying delivery probably next year for the CB now. Meaning a good 8+ month wait.

When you ordered it, what “number” were you on the waitlist?

I didn’t ask at the time, but they were fairly confident that I would get it in 4-5 months.

Perhaps they are giving priority to locations (NYC ?) that have longer waitlists ?

Thanks. I just hope I wear it enough. I have a bunch of other watches (Cartier, omega, chopard) that I later regretted buying.
