Jubilee stretch and repair in Australia

I recently bought my first rolex, a Datejust 1601 from 1970.

I believe the jubilee bracelet is original and it has a reasonable amount of stretch in it. Would you recommend getting a stretched jubilee bracelet restored? I tend to wear it relatively snug on the wrist if that makes any difference.

Also, can anyone recommend a trustworthy place for jubilee restoration in Australia? I'm aware that Rolliworks has a great reputation, but would prefer to get it repaired locally if possible.

I would post a photo but it looks like my account is too new to attach links to a post.

Thanks for your help.

I have no idea if this service is available in Australia but Michael Young in Hong Kong is the go to guy. Search classic watch company or a Michael Young it’s a very cost effective repair

Not suggesting anything at all about Michael Young, but this advice from Rolliworks website seems like something good to keep in mind:

“One very well known shop in Asia will accept your band then ship it off to another world country to complete the work. Be sure to ask "who will actually be doing the work on my band and will my band ever leave your shop". Be sure to know the details of how your piece will be handled and by whom.”

Good luck, and if you can, please let us know how you go; I am in Australia and quite curious.

Hi, I am also looking for an Australian repairer for a stretched Jubilee bracelet. Are there any based in Australia?

You won't get this done in Australia.
Do not trust people who tell you they can this locally.
Rolex Australia is the only exception, but I do not believe they will repair, they will insist you buy a new bracelet.
Go to the repairer in Hong Kong that is recommended.

So what do they actually suggest? That MY ships off his bracelets to China or so?
