Thanks for this insight.

Hidden Agenda? Not really. Having owned 5 HD's since the late 70's with my most recent a 2016 RoadKing (Rushmore), I have no problem riding with my Rolex. But, there are smoother riding machines out there. My R75/5, R100RS, K75S, K1200RS, were silk smooth. My R1150Rt was the worst bike I ever owned. I also had great times with a number of modern Triumph's.

Speed and gear selection can make a huge difference in handlebar vibs. A bike like a new issue Honda CB1100 is a nice bike, but the buzz in the bars will ruin any longer ride. Ride safe with or without your Rolex.

Have you rode the new Harley with the M8 engine? Very smooth compared to the twin-cam. In fact it was so smooth Harley actually added some vibration to it so the old timers would still like it.

I have a 13 CVO Road king, shakes like heck compared to the 19 CVO Road Glide or the 18 CVO road glide I had prior. I average 24K miles a year on a bike. Never had an issue with a watch

I have a 15 hd road glide, 103, rubber mounted. When idling with my hands on the bar, it really vibrates. I always wonder if all the vibrations would screw up the inside of my sd43? The bike is really smooth once it gets above idle.

Dave, I have not ridden the M8. The sales guy at Battlefield HD calls every once in awhile to tempt me. 52 years of M/C endorsement on my DL, I'm taking a break for awhile. Enjoy.
