Icon14 Hi, New TRFan from Los Angeles

Hello TRF, I'm no collector, just a genuine enthusiast with a few timepieces.

I haven't posted or lurked much on TRF but just recently heard a wonderful story of one member helping another with an anniversary present. I thought "wow, what an awesome community to be a part of." Thank you all for being such a great resource.

First watch I purchased for myself was a Nomos Worldtimer GMT for my 30th birthday. I spent much of my 20s commuting by plane working at a tech company. So I will always have a soft spot for GMTs.

First Rolex I have was from my wedding. I had no idea how popular the GMT BLNR was but my wife and best friend both helped me decide on it. It's still the watch I wear the most and has plenty of dings and scratches to show for it.

I really dig when Rolexes are worn daily or for its intentional purpose. Just last wk, the Explorer 1 came exploring with us on some hikes and swims in montana. It sounds a bit cheesy but I feel the greatest value of these timepieces are the special moments and memories that they accompany us in.

Look forward to being a part of TRF.

Welcome to the fam - solid set of watches and great shots too. Couldnt agree more that the watches should be worn and used.
