Girard-Perregaux 4946 Chrono 38mm on a 6” wrist?
Hello guys!
Trying hard to find a chronograph for a 6” wrist and I came across this one. Does anyone own it? Does it wear big or small for a 38mm? It is hard for me to find it and try it on somewhere in NYC. |

I'm familiar with some of the GP older chrono lines. The version of the oldest of their modern sport chrono's was the 7000 series, which was 38mm. The next newer was the 8020 line at 38mm (they made a few 40's). Then came the 4956 group at 40mm.
The 38's will all wear well on a 6.5" wrist, IMO. The 7000's and 8020's wear like 38's in SS, but the 7000's in two tone or gold wear like 40's-- not comfort wise but looks. I've got a 4956 on bracelet, and it's a fairly heavy package but wears very comfortably. The curved lugs really make a difference and keep the watch centered better than most. |
