Bucherer Tudor available in London

I was at the Bucherer store in Covent Garden and I asked about the Bucherer Black Bay. They had one in stock (it is damn beautiful). I said I'll take it, pulled out my Amex, but was told that I needed a passport copy to buy it as I'm not a UK citizen. I said I'd go get my passport, but on the way back to my hotel I realized that I had spent too much damn money on watches in 2018 and bailed on the deal. If anone wants one and is in London, you know where to go. If hope someone buys it from the nice Asian woman who was helpng me.

FWIW its because its not a chip and pin, its chip and signature. I get that all the time with my US based cards. Rather than verify a signature they need a photo ID and they usually photocopy it for large purchases.

UK citizens with a chip and signature (which is almost no one) but visually impaired people can get them for example. They need an ID too.

Its a very nice looking watch, ive seen it once before too
