superOcean 42?
Hi guys, I have never had a breitling but I can't shake the superocean heritage 42. I like the white dial with blue bezel and mesh bracelet, and the blue/blue combo as well. I have a Rolex 14060M and a 2503.33.00 aqua terra, and am thinking of trading the omega for the breitling.
how is this watch in the flesh? I have a 5.5 inch wrist and had to take out a permanent link on my submariner. would the breitling bracelet work, or would I need to have it operated on? I would love wrist pics of any dial configuration and advice! some more questions, why do I see some of them with the date aperture at 3 and some at 6? is this watch more 'flashy' than the sub, and would it make sense to swap the aqua terra (semi dressy) for another 'dive' watch? I would appreciate any and all comments regarding the supero heritage 42!! |

How about a photo of the SO 42 you're considering. I have a Steelfish (44 mm) and with a 6.5 in wrist it is a push but if you like the watch sometimes a push isn't bad.

Funny I can't find a photo online of the 6:00 date watch only at 3:00. Truthfully I'm thinking that the watch would be too big for you and you'd likely regret selling the Omega. How does the Sub work for you? For me the 14060 is one of my more comfortable watches. 41 mm in my DJII and two Tudors is doable but approaching too large. The 44 mm Breitling is likely really too large but I wear it anyway. Here it is with different bracelets and bands. Also worth looking at might be the Tudor GranTour which has a lot in common with the Breitling 42 and is a bit smaller. Here's mine as well. A lot has to do with the wrist shape as well as the diameter.

Go try it on. I think it will be very big on your 5.5" wrist, but that may be what you're looking for.

I have a 6 in wrist and just tried on the 42 mm in blue. Fit was fine. Thinking of making the purchase. Tried mine on in korea last week. Would have pulled the trigger, but they wanted 3200 usd so decided it was to much money. Can get cheaper, im sure here in the states.
