Case back engraving?
I, like many folks here, intend to pass my watch (hopefully one day, watches) to my sons. I am curious if anyone has had their case back engraved and with what? Is it a congratulatory message? A special date? And who did the engraving?

The watchmaker who did the servicing of my GMT does them. He is also a jewel and probably does lots of engraving.
My GMT was my wedding give from my wife 42 yrs ago. It was engraved with simple block type: JML 1 MAY 76 CJL Somehow the editor here will not allow me to center the type. |

My wife gave me a white Daytona C for my 50th birthday with an engraved message on the back. Makes me smile every time I see it.

I would think of something personal, but wording that also speaks to next gen.
and use of block type letters, deep laser engraving, will better survive the test of times. |
