I have been told the Seiko Grand is an extremely accurate time-keeper, even before the 'Spring Drive' days. Now with one, may I know how accurate it is, please?

It is a spectacular watch and there is no doubt about it. Congratulations, for the excellent choice.

i'll update this thread around 12pm each day...

it'll be fun to see exactly how accurate the spring drive is!

Nice, I like the blue second hand and the way they placed the power reserve. The markers, hour, and minute hands look pretty nice also.

Yes, it is good if you can send a report daily, so that we can gauge its accuracy.

Not only the dial is something to die for but the movement of the seconds hand is so smooth, it reminds me of the Bulova Accutron. It is just beyond description and amazing.

Not unexpected, at all. This Grand Seiko Spring Drive technology leaves others, light years behind.

Congratulations on your choice. Wear your 'atomic' beauty with brain, in good health.

What is the meaning of 'CHRONOMETER'?

Over a period of time, I am sure you will make many of those, looking to own and wear a beautiful 'atomic watch', salivate. I am one of those.

Unfortunately, anywhere on your watch dial, I cannot find the word 'Chronometer'. Mine, a spanking brand-new watch has but its time-keeping is + 2 secs per day. I regret reprimanding the poor old watch technician.

Little wonder, Patek Philippe never had the word 'Chronometer', on any of its watch dial.

Like what I said earlier on, the accuracy is not unexpected but do keep on posting the result of its time-keeping, for at least a month, if possible.

Is your watch, sold in Japan only or one can get it world-wide?

Seiko's marketing strategy is poor, compared to some other brand-names. As a result of which, it will take some while before its quality is discovered by fanatics who want to own or wear a near perfect watch, accuracy-wise.

Superb!

As far as you know, is there any advertisement by Seiko, suggesting that it has produced the most accurate watch in the world, today?

seiko is only willing to commit to 1 sec per day accuracy... even though most people are reporting far more accurate:

Thanks for the brochure. Of course, they will not say '0' but for them to commit to '1', it is indeed spectacular and unheard of, before this. A chronometer is expected to be within + - 10 secs per day.

I shall try to save enough money and the Seiko Grand Spring Drive will be high on the list. It is much appreciated, for bringing this beauty with top accuracy, to our attention.

Please carry-on reporting its accuracy, if you may. Wear it, in good health.
