Help! Need Crystal Part No. for Wife's 1762XX

Greetings

Bought ref 176234 from forum member years ago. Ladies Stainless oyster/swimpruf.

Wife dropped on tile floor! Can only find aftermarket crystal as reference charts I could locate dont seem to list ref 1762XX.

Want to keep all "rolex". Pretty sure case (26MM) and Crystal (21.3MM).

If someone could steer me with correct 25-XXX part number I'd be extremely grateful!

Thanks in advance and take care, Mark

Thank you Adrian.

Now the hunt begins......

Everything in Genuine Rolex "206" has magnifier (206C). Lots of aftermarket though.

Thanks again.

25-206C is more common

25-206 is the same crystal, just no cyclops.

Soak it in a small bowl of acetone (nail polish remover) overnight = no more cyclops.

If the watch was dropped on tile and it shattered the crystal, it needs a service!
The crystal fragments get inside the movement and can do potentially a lot more damage if you don't get in cleaned properly. If you send your watch for service to a RSC or independent Rolex watchmaker, they will supply the crystal for you.

Vanessa is correct about the crystal fragments damaging the movement,
Also the 176234 is a Separated Function Case Design.
Requires specific tools to install the crystal securing ring, and a new Hytrel ring to secure the bezel.

Not really a DYI job as with the normal oyster case where the bezel secures the crystal .

Adrian, and Vanessa,

Much thanks on guidance, and "completely" understood. Was not aware the crystal retention system was different from the standard oyster case. As usual on this forum, there's much I've learned over the years just lurking around in the background, just not much of a "poster" That all changed when the "boss" dropped her's in the bathroom. Most of my (rolex) watches are collectibles and don't get much mileage in the safe.

I digress.....

Made a call to Dallas this AM and unless Vanessa wants the repair and service.....? (wink, wink), it'll be heading to the RSC. I called Dallas due to a hint of hesitation sensed or opined by the forum members regarding RSC NYC. If the techs have an opinion about NYC RSC vs. Dallas and the quality of service realized, it's obviously a lot closer to me on the "right" coast.

As stated, I sincerely appreciate the time taken to assist me in my "moment of crisis".

Best wishes. Mark

Glad to have helped,
If you don’t go with Vanessa, I personally recommend Dallas RSC.
