Which Patek next ?

Dear Members,

Would appreciate your thoughts on the below

I already have a 5035G, 5205G and a 5740G in the collection. It is time to plan for the next addition. Which watch do you think would work well next. I am thinking 5167a

5167A. For fun set your 5740G to 11PM and post a pic.

5167 or 5164 would work well or even a 5270 or 5172 if you don’t want sports watches

It depends on your budget and what you would want next (dress or « sport » watch).

Also, would you get it from the AD, or secondhand? Timeframe?

you already have 3 calendar watches(2 annual calendars and a perpetual calendar).....I would add GMT and chronograph complication to make your current collection interesting

AD/Salon

Timeframe, as long as it takes for the right watch.

Since you mention the 5167, I suppose that you rather go towards a sport watch.

In your case, I would rather opt for the 5164 or 5968.

(If you are open to another dress watch, and depending on your budget, I would go for 5230p, 5231, 5930, 6102, 5470, 5270, 5531, or 5316.)

5235r or 5212a - nicest watches in the catalogue outside of grand complications

A date-only watch in rose gold would complement your existing pieces well – I’d suggest a 5167r or 6119r.

I was way off with the models I suggested.

For a PP, I am naturally going for complicated pieces.

5968? Seems there is no chrono in your collection yet

I agree. The 5968 is my favorite chronograph that Patek produces. No frills, the way a stop watch should be.

Agree as well.

At the same time I can't get the quirky (and busy) 5975P out of my head with 5975G the more attainable one of those.

Now that's a watch worth waiting for.

How likely would one be able to ask PP to change some of the city names on a World Time ?

Most likely zero chance I think, unless you're Ed Sheeran :)))). But no harm to ask.

All your pieces are in white gold, seems like either that’s what you want so you can keep doing that, or if you want to change it up a little I’d go for something in rose gold.

Also your pieces are all very dressy, even the Nautilus. Maybe something more casual, either the 5326G or 5968G.

From what I hear, these are the kind of piece uniques that Patek likes to do. If you bought all your Pateks from an AD or saloon, maybe you have a chance. Let us know!

lol I was about to say that even Ed Sheeran could not get an enamel piece unique - changing the city name sounds like a super easy thing for patek to do but they probably rarely do it

I would trade the 5035 and get a 5170r and call it a day. Or trade the 5035 and 5205 and get a QP chrono (5970 or 5270). Then enjoy those two like a Sith.
