Buyers Club Idea
I've searched past threads on this and found nothing, so here is an idea I thought about:
For TRFers who prefer to use ADs, why don't we collectively find a preferred dealer in particular regions, and negotiate together for the best price? That is, if there are 10 people in the NYC area that know they will buy a Rolex by October, we can arrange with a respected dealer an offer whereby we all agree to buy on a certain date? It's win-win since the salesperson gets a large volume of sales in one day, and since we are all knowledgeable about what we want, the labor involved on the sales person's part is minimal, and we as consumers who have aggregated our money together get the maximum discount. Thoughts from the group? |

I think the discount you get on 1 watch will be the same in this market. If the selling AD wants to sell and you know how to negotiate 20-30%+ is out there for cash paying customers. Don't forget Rolex is not depressed merchandise. There is a BIG differernce between the guy that says ill buy 10 watches whats my best price and I have 10 friends. Its 10 reasons for the AD not to do it. My thoughts
