John Mayer Rolex Collection...

I never realized it before, but I was doing some Rolex research and I found out that John Mayer is a huge Rolex collector, or even a Rolex Fanatic like many of us.

In case you are not familiar with John, he is an Extremely Talented Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist. John wrote a great song that I love called, "Your Body is a Wonderland." I know he was singing about a beautiful woman, but maybe subconsciously he was singing about the lines on his Daytona

Here are some pics that I hope you enjoy...This first one is with John Mayer wearing his Vintage Orange hand Explorer II, with Eric Clapton and B.B. King both wearing Day-Dates.

So you haven´t heard about the John Mayer dial?

A really rare one, ask the big auction house about it.

I´m not remeber the details exactly but there was one of his watches I think
a Daytona for sale at a auction house with was they say a very rare dial.
Then it was a fake dial and there was some that say it was real and some not.
If I´m not wrong so did Rolex Geneva say it was not a real dial. So now
some call it the John Mayer dial.

Apparently John Mayer is so into his Explorer that he actually took these photos himself of his 2 flawless Rolex Explorer II watches.

On his blog he says:

"A Pair of Rolex 1655 Explorer IIs...As sharp and clean as they come.

That's right. I spend nights at home taking pictures of watches. And I love it. So there!!!"

True story

Okay, I'm between 50 and death. I have no idea who John Mayer is. I do think he has great taste in watches. B.B. King I've met a few times (local kid made good.) He was back in town a month or so ago. Also great taste in watches. E.C. is more my speed. Never knew he wore Rolexes. It's amazing what you can learn on this forum.

You know I'm in that age group also but I know who John Mayer is! He dated Jessica Simpson before she dumped him and came to my team's quaterback!

He must have good taste in women, wine and watches, the three "W"s of life.

Hi!

You should check on some John Mayer music. He is amazing and there is a reason why he is on the photo with B.B. King and Clapton. I recommend going to the iTunes store and probably strarting with his most popularly ranked songs. That way you can try a few out.

I highly recommend you start with "Your body is a Wonderland" which is one of my favorite Mayer songs.

I like your fascinating metaphor where you said "I'm between 50 and death." What is that great line from the Mel Gibson movie, I think it was Braveheart? where he say's "A man sees death smiling at him, and the best he can do is smile back."

We are all on the same conveyer belt.

It is amazing how much we can learn on this forum and something tells me this is just the beginning...

Nice to chat with you, and you and every other member should at the minimum consider putting your first name in your profile so we can address each other by name. I don't mind calling you Beef, but it does seem a little awkward.

Nice chatting with you Beef, and definitely check out John Mayer.

Jake, I'm Rick. Beef is a nickname I picked up in the military. (I don't own cattle or star in porn flicks.) It actually comes from Jethro Bodine. Some of us were watching "Beverly Hillbillys" reruns and Jethro was going to be a "Hollywood Movie Star." He picked Beef Jerky to be his stage name. One of my buds says "Can I call you Beef or is it Mr. Jerky?" We were drinking, so it stuck. I started posting as that on socnetcentral, a Special Operations website as that, since it would be recognizable to some. Jessica Simpson, I do know. I concur with Mr.Cowboy99 ( who may own cattle, porn star????)-he does have great taste in the 3 W's.

Hi Rick!!! h

Nice to meet you! My favorite TV show of all times is the Beverly Hillbillies.

I love the perfect, flawless naiveté of the show and of America in the early 1960s. Clean-cut, down-home. I also love the Architecture of the Estate they live in. Granny washing the clothes in the Cement Pond.

John Mayer is awesome!!!

He is a Rolex fan. He is also a Stevie Ray Vaughn admirer. He plays a mean guitar too, and beds hot women. What's not to like?

It is my goal

To dress like Stevie Ray Vaughan, and play guitar like John Mayer. Or maybe the other way around, I'm not sure.

That aint workin thats the way you do it...

Reminds me of the great Dire Straits lyrics from the song "Money For Nothing" chicks for free:

Now look at them yo-yos thats the way you do it
You play the guitar on the MTV
That ain't workin thats the way you do it
Money for nothin and chicks for free
Now that aint workin that's the way you do it
Lemme tell ya them guys ain't dumb
Maybe get a blister on your little finger
Maybe get a blister on your thumb

We gotta install microwave ovens
Custom kitchen deliveries
We gotta move these refrigerators
We gotta move these color TVs

See the little faggot with the earring and the makeup
Yeah buddy thats his own hair
That little faggot got his own jet airplane
That little faggot he's a millionaire

We gotta install microwave ovesns
Custom kitchens deliveries
We gotta move these refrigerators
We gotta move these color TVs

I shoulda learned to play the guitar
I shoulda learned to play them drums
Look at that mama, she got it stickin in the camera
Man we could have some fun
And he's up there, what's that? Hawaiian noises?
Bangin on the bongoes like a chimpanzee
That ain't workin that's the way you do it
Get your money for nothin get your chicks for free

We gotta install microwave ovens
Custom kitchen deliveries
We gotta move these refrigerators
We gotta move these colour TVs, lord

Now that aint workin thats the way you do it
You play the guitar on the MTV
That ain't workin thats the way you do it
Money for nothin and your chicks for free
Money for nothin and chicks for free

Bad taste in women, great taste in watches. I love his Newman and mint 1655s.

Did you folks know that George Foreman is a huge IWC collector? He has over a dozen different Portuguese models.
