The only difference I see is inbetween the squares there is no design on the Offshore. And also the offshore squares are bigger which I never liked compared to the RO squares. I never thought that was because one is stamped and the other engraved.

Previously, AP used to hire Swiss gnomes, who’d come in during the night, with their little hammers and chisels, to make the raised pattern known as 'Grand Tapisserie'.
Naturally, this was more expensive due to the cost of contracting the gnomes, as well as taking longer to produce each one.
In order to ensure the ROOs didn’t double in price, they opted for the cheaper, and quicker, licking and stamping process.

Tough to see on edo's pic because it has a very narrow depth of field/focus, but the circular grain can be seen on top of the squares too and not just in between...again though you have to be looking very closely.

Great comparison, engine turned dial is definitely more exquisite, I wouldn't mind seeing it on the ROO

My JLC is full of scratches both on the bezel and the case (I've been pretty tough on it though).

BTW, I am very excited about the new 44mm ROO Ti and can't wait to see one in person.
Thank you for the information and feedback.

Thanks for the info

A bit of a shame to see that profit margins seem to overtake the (for me) importance of crafmanship.

Scratchproof no, but harder than 316/904 SS.
Ceramic is lighter than Ti.

Does anyone have an estimation for how long these new models usually take to hit AD shelves? I'm particularly interested in the new 15450 dials.

I was told boutiques will have them mid-end of March and then will trickle into ADs soon after.

As you can see from edo's pics, there is a difference in appearance (but it's much more noticeable in these macro pics). The engraved dials have that circular pattern and added texture.
For the love of horology please don't demean the use of rose engines!

They use a pantograph to follow the pattern along with a rose engine that actually removes the metal from the dial plate and creates the Clous de Paris pattern. Here's a good article on different types of tapisserie used by AP.

Do we have confirmation if 15450 blue will be "boutique only."
