Another Speedmaster or a Datejust?

Looking to add a brown dialed piece to my collection. Initially, I was considering the rose gold, chocolate dial Datejust.
Then I saw this Speedmaster! Yes, they are 2 very different pieces and I already have a Speedy, but this one is very different and stunning!
Thoughts?

Current collection includes:
Speedmaster 105.012, Rolex BLNR, Rolex OP 39mm, JLC MUT Moon, Hublot Classic Fusion, Breitling Aerospace

Both really stunning pieces...I'd personally have to go with the Speedmaster on this one

Datejust, Im admittedly bias, but to me seeing speedmaster without professional makes its it feel second-rate. I am fully aware that that watch is more sophisticated than my moonwatch, but the heart wants what the heart wants. In all honesty, were in it a nasa nerd, and omega never worn on the moon, I wouldn't even consider in the same thought as any Rolex. Good hunting.

The Speedy Moonphase is a fantastic watch. Excellent movement and incredibly comfortable on the wrist. I am a very happy owner of the black dial version but also considered the one option you're looking at. My vote is for the Moonphase without hesitation.

I love the moonphase, but at 44mm it's a bit big for me.

Thanks for all the replies so far! It looks like the Datejust is in the lead.
It's a tough call, so I'll have to sit on this one for a while.

They are both brown dial but present so differently. I guess whichever you prefer and fills a hole in your collection. No bad choices here. Good luck.

Depends how old you are

The chocolate DJ I think is suited better to a very elderly gentleman with all white hair

I really don't like those type of plain colour DJ dials very boring grandad looking

You hit it right on the nail. I seen many old folks wearing DJ variants. The omega is sportier and probably less likely you will see 2 in the same room.

Thanks again for all your replies. After seeing the meteorite dial speedmaster, I much preferred it to the two tone moon phase. It's a large and thick watch, so the lighter ceramic case on the meteorite dial is a better fit.

I'm up in Canada visiting family, so I figured I'd check out some watches due to the favorable exchange rate. No one had the meteorite speedy in stock, but I was offered a good deal on the datejust.

For those who said it looks better on the oyster bracelet, I already have 2 Rolexes on oyster. And I've wanted something on the jubilee for a change.
So the decision was made and here it is:

Thats a beauty. Congrats.

Came into this thread a little late and owning 3 DJ2's of my own was going to recommend the Speedmaster to shake things up a bit, but now you've posted that wrist shot I think you've made the right choice. It's a lovely watch. The DJ is just such a classic and makes a refreshing change from the usual sport style watches we all wear from our collections. In fact, I'm wearing one of my DJ's now having been wearing and Explorer 42mm for the last few months.

However, I still think that Speedy moon phase is a stunner, and so long as you have a 'real deal' pro in the collection, then any other model of Speedy is fair game after that.

I think your next watch you should definitely re-visit the Speedmaster.

Thanks. Yes, I have a pre moon Speedy from 1966, but I will definitely be re-visiting the Speedmaster
