Just thought I would give an update on the club decision... thanks to everyone that chimed in. I took some advice and along with searching the internet came up with 4 different irons that I decided to hit today at the PGA superstore. 1. My initial choice which was the Titleist AP3. Hit them good but after hitting some forged irons they felt way too hard. 2. TaylorMade p790. Awesome, felt great, sounded great, went far and were forgiving. 3. Mizuno JPX 919 forged. Awesome also but for me I found them not as forgiving as the 790’s. 4. Titleist AP2. Awesome club just not for me. Lol. So it came down to the TaylorMade and Mizuno’s. Think I am going to go with Taylormade p790’s. Love the look and feel of them, along with the DG 105 s300 shafts. I was hitting my 7 iron 180 yards consistently. At least according to the simulator.
