something about this 5513 just doesnt "feel right"

What do you folks think?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Submariner...item20ad7c05e0

My problems with it... the crown guards... look like their too pointed... the serial number... just doesnt look right... the numbers are too small and close together... the dimensions under the case and of the movement... dont convince me either.

Thoughts?

Err buddy Greg...this should be the 5513 Sub 2.9mil case series watch you are referring to...

It evidently has the much LATER - Mark 5 "Maxi" Dial variant which is usually found...
on 5513 watch case series of about 8.0mil...instead.

The watch should have the early feet 1st Dial...
with Depth Rating plot of "660ft = 200m" above the "SUBMARINER" plot....
instead.

The watch was sent to RSC HongKong for repolishing works...hence written as so...in the RSCHK paper...

The watch should have the early Oyster Folded link bracelet 9315...which
is not in this case...as it has the later replacement Sold Oyster Link bracelet 93150...

Otherthan the above vintage issues...the watch should be OK...
BUT finding someone who might be paying that amount of asking price from the Seller...
of USD6K+ at this current economic juncture...
may be tougher...

well there are RSC papers with the watch so if they are genuine then the watch probably is. the crown guards could be the result of polishing, in fact that is what the papers say happened last year.

my concern is the dial. A 2.9M serial watch would have the "Submariner" under the depth not as shown on top. Seller does state its an original dial which it may be but NOT original to that watch.
