I've just had a brief walk around the garden. That sunshine is deceptive, it's bloomin' parky out!
We had been watching a couple of Mistle Thrushes being tended by a parent.
We have a lot of Mistletoe in our trees, so a good reliable source of berries to feed on. Beautiful creatures, but they seem a bit too bold. There are a couple of Sparrow Hawks around and a fat young Thrush would make a very tasty lunch.

TBH my friend, had lots of chances to stay up, just not good enough. Players thought they were better than they are. They are a disgrace. Really disappointed.

Poor from Leeds at the weekend, nothing Sam could do to prevent that and looks like there will be some big changes this summer.

What it does bring is probably the most exciting championship season ever, with a plethora of historic clubs. It's such a great league, financially competitive which leads to a fairly even playing field. With teams full of young, hungry talent.

Hope at least you had a decent cuppa.

Thank you fellas, I got a stair lift fitted by the NHS today which is quite good, I found it harder coming down stairs than going up and this should help. My appetite seems to be waning. Have an Oncologist appointment on Tuesday so we will see what will happen then. I am afraid.

Dave, you're one of the strongest people I've ever known. Albeit understandable to be afraid prior to that appointment, I echo the sentiments of those above.

Your support network, consisting of people from across the globe, are cheering you on. This doesn't change what's happening but it can make the slightest difference.

Thank you very much for your wonderful touching and heartfelt responses, they really help. I seem to be exhausted all the time and the smallest of movements really takes it out of me. The NHS installed a chair lift on Friday which has been a god send and helps me up and down the stairs. My appetite seems to have gone but I am keeping well hyradrated, simple things like washing and dressing are now impossible for me to achieve on my own.

My wife's love has no bounds and their is nothing she won't do for me. I have cried for her, I catch her at 1 am in the morning, iPhone in her mouth, flashlight on changing my catheter or making sure I am comfortable, she must be exhausted but she is never short of a smile and the words' Don't worry, it'll be alright."

I'm no hero, but she is, she is fabulous.

Hopefully a good appointment on Tuesday.

Dave I never have a lot to say and for that I'm sorry. In real life I'm the guy who would just sit with you and B.S. I check this thread often for updates and continue prayers that you remain as comfortable as can be, all things considered. Glad to hear the chair lift is helping.

Dave, you’ve got this!! It’s an appointment, that’s it. To quote Hamlet- “Nothing is good or bad, but thinking makes it so”. Think of this as an appointment and nothing more. What is to happen will happen whether you worry about it or not. Our worries will never change the future, our actions and reaction to what happens will and can.

You’ve got so many of us pulling for you, hanging on your every post just to see you’re still fighting. You’re wife is a saint. You’re a very blessed man, I hope Carole sees herself through your eyes for eternity.
