Got mine in around 5 months. Need to mention $35K of other spend during the previous year.

Put my name on the list in August of 2019 and received “the call” in December 2022. So a little over three years. Well worth the wait plus the MK3 dial looks much better than the original MK1 dials. The one I bought had an oyster bracelet but I ordered a jubilee separately so best of both worlds. Now I’m on the waitlist for a black dial Daytona but my AD quoted me a 5 year waitlist.

My local AD told me the waiting list for the Stainless Steel Pepsi was 200 years. I fell in love with the blue dial and bought that instead - from an AD in another country.

I ask for a 2nd Pepsi when I picked up the Batman. It was just under 4 weeks.

i waited and waited. offered and jumped on a BLNR which i absolutely dig. added a few more to the collection and then asked about the BLRO thinking i should have a good chance.
Answer - you got a GMT so you're off the list for a BLRO. such is life in the world of Rolex acquisitions. don't want one enough to go grey market gouge. have you seen the AP RO prices?! coulda, shoulda

I was going to say, "You don't wanna go gray?"

But I see you responded to this earlier in the thread.

Someone else: "I don't want it enough to pay secondary market prices."
Your response: "I am the same. I would rather wait for the day if ever - feels right and not a fan over paying over retail."

The classic time/money priority question.

Hope you're not waiting much longer.

I’ve only been on the list a few months, but if I really want it I’ll probably go Grey as I have more money than I have time, for I’m in my 70’s.

Do we think the wait list is longer for SS daytona vs Pepsi?

The wait time for Pepsi will be longer than Daytona... may be the batgirl or sprite will become more available .....?

I've been waiting for about 9 months. I'm getting frustrated. It's too bad that this happens. Buying a watch shouldn't be a negative experience.

I’m on year 4 of a wait. I’ve got spend history with my AD and I think part of the wait has been due to my lack of persistence. I touch base with them quarterly rather than weekly like some. There’s plenty of great watches to collect, I try to focus on those rather than entangling myself with something I may not get.

I waited over 2 years. A newly developed relationship with an SA helped me out for sure. They went to bat!

This is why you shouldn’t pay over msrp. I also got mine from AD. I can tell you right now, the Pepsi is not worth what they are going on the grey market for.

It’s a great watch at roughly 9k. For 18k you’re getting robbed.

I love my Pepsi, but I would never pay over market for it. At market prices, I’d buy a 14060m Sub or 39mm OP white dial and call it a day. Rolex is not worth these wild secondary prices to me.

I went into an AD here for a Sub four years ago. She wouldn't even put my name on the list. So I bought second-hand. Paid something like $3000 over list. Sold it this year for the same price. I'm glad I bought it, instead of waiting for years.

I have one so no skin in the game, but I can confirm that my AD has been told that they will not get any more BLRO this year due to the bezel issues. He speculated that it may go back to being on the white gold only if issues can't be resolved.

Yes, I was told the same thing last week from my AD. Apparantly (if true or not) it is due to colour bleeding QC issues in the ceramic bezel, so they are expecting far reduced numbers for the remainder of the year, or until it is resolved. I do wonder how this could happen given it has been in production for a number of years now, so would only assume the manufacturing would have been streamlined and perfected by now.

Told the same. Manufacturing issues on the red ceramic.
