Interesting to note that 18 March is the date Patek uses in their stock photos. Does anyone know the significance of the date?

The teaser also includes the year (2018) so ???

Looks like a nice MR.

As for the hand on 18, Rolex runs the second hand at that angle, so maybe this is a preferred aesthetic with 10 and 2.

The aperture windows are at 18 as well, arguably for consistency if that’s the case.

Knowing Patek ... its going to be most likely a 5531R with an enamel dial of Geneva lake, Mr Stern loves sailing

They've just launched an Instagram account @patekphilippe.

The significance of 18:39 "Antoine Norbert de Patek and Adrien Philippe had one common ambition: to develop and manufacture the finest timepieces in the world. Explore the stories behind the oldest and only independent family-owned Genevan manufacture on the 18th of each month, at 18:39 GMT+1. A time known as #PatekTime."

The 5524R has just been released and is also available in a 37.5mm ladies size. https://www.instagram.com/patekphilippe/?hl=en

100% agree, but really glad they did this. I suspect the G may not run for very long.

i suspect the G will end sooner now too vs. if it was a standalone piece in the collection. So thats good for current owners...possibly

No doubt that it will have a big demand but I find the pilot model as a semi-sport watch. Having it with white gold - blue dial combination makes more sense than red gold brown dial combination I believe...

Is this supposed to compete with speedy tuesday, just 75% less often?

Its appropriate that you need a world timer to figure out when it starts.
