Gilt GMT master

Hey everyone,

Just asking for some advice/thoughts on this GMT that is up for auction and finishing soon.

Serial is around 1.1millon, placing it around 1965-6. Dial + Hands looks original (please correct if wrong). I don't think the bezel insert would be original?

What are your thoughts on case condition - has it been recut? or are these the original champhers.

Personally I don't think ill be bidding , but always keen to learn about these older models so that in the event something pops up I know when to buy!

Cheers,
Ed

Definitely need some better pics, is that sunflare for dramatic effect? Not 100% on the condition due to these pics but it looks like a decent example, but then i am OK with a well worn look, other than the insert you mentioned it looks OK.

I think if i was more interested, (ie had the funds to spare) - i would have tried for some better photo's. The thought of owning a gilt GMT has crossed my mind lately but would need to consolidate considerably.

Ended up selling for AUD$14,800
