I don't post much as it takes a lot from a post to elicit a response, but those are some of the most ugly watches ever to bear the Rolex name. I do not like them even the least bit.

I honestly cannot wait to see all the photos of the Explorer II. Will the changes to the Explorer II make it a better seller? I know us WICs love the Explorer II but it doesn't seem that popular to the general masses.

I personally dislike those models.. I miss the subtle balanced look of the now old models.

The picture of the Exp II is representative of what I have noticed with my Sub C...the lugs only look boxier and more squared off when viewed straight on. When I view the case of my new Sub C from a high angle, it looks just like the pics of that new Exp II. I think Rolex hit one out of the park with the new Exp II.

Any hot gossip on the ND Sub...? Ceramic? Not there? Unchanged?
Love the Expy II but just what I expected. That will be my next watch, I suspect. YM II has never been my thing, and that one is no different. Don't really have any interest in Daytonas, but that is an nice version. |

The YM is a strange watch - I did not like it at all (when seen online) - then I was at an AD and offered one to try on. The rest is history.
Same of one of my business partners - he didnt like it until he saw it and wore it - Now, he wants one too. The blue hands are a very nice change if you like the watch. Otherwise I know lots of people dont like the design - i personally would prefer not to have YM II on the bezel, but... |

Myself would prefer a proper vintage one,and not a modern day upstart, just with a vintage look a like orange hand.

Also, if I buy one, it will be for the GMT capability and, I think I'm right in saying, the vintage orange hand Expy was just a day/night indicator? |

What about the Sub? What about the Sub? Are they killing it off by not making it anymore or are they killing it off by supercasing it?? I gotta know, the suspense is killing me.

With all due respect for all the Explorer II love, is it just the orange hand and orange lettering that's getting everyone pumped up? Are the same folk drawn to the orange of the Milgauss?
It looks good, but it's decidedly more "sport". I think it'll be a lot harder to dress this one up compared to the current model, with it's black lettering and more subtle red hand. I think it'll be harder to wear with a suit, for example, which I do all the time when not "a play". I guess I'm just partial to the dress up/dress down of the current "enigma" Explorer II. To each his own. |

A new Two Tone Yachtmaster II (if it is SS/YG) should bring the price down out of the stratosphere..........
As to the Exp II... I wouldn't trade my current white dial in for it... but I am curious to see it in a black dial...

Daytona has the same case just a new bezel, just look closely. It's the shadows that make's it appear larger.

that daytona is pretty sweet, i must say. it definitely has more of a contemporary feel to it. having spent some time in geneva over the last few months, i've definitely noticed a lot of ulysse nardins and hublots and other chunkier watches on the wrists of the horological cognoscenti. while i think the original daytona is a true classic, this one would certainly fit in with the young elites.

Exp II is as expected... YM II TT is horrible... RG / Black Daytona might be pretty cool in person though!
