Tourneau also near Omega's Boutique is worth going to.

All this is easily possible, depending on what you want to do.

Good call!
Don't want to be no where near downtown during NATO.

I can do Oak Brook. I wouldn't let Nato scare us off, though. The protests will be.... well, where exactly will they be?

I gotta think all the protestors will be protesting bank locations, board of trade locations, or the meeting place or hotels where the NATO folks are going to be -- more in the business district. I can see them coming up the Mag Mile to protest the 1%er's who are spending there, but also I can see them being short-sighted enough not to.

Of course, they're processing arrests for the protestors at the police station across the street from me on 18th and State, so maybe I'd be better off at home watching my belongings. F'n idjits with hammers are funny until they visit your town.

Also a place to visit on the Mag Mile(North Michigan Ave.)is the MontBlanc Boutique. As for the summit there will be hassles downtown and where their summit will be held...I doubt it will effect North Michigan ave.!!!

I would hope if I am able to make it we could do North Mich Ave in style. If the 20th is a bad date could we push it back maybe?

My only concern is that if we start pushing it back we might end up planing it in June. I am open to reschduling due to NATO. I just know I won't be free the following weekends till after june 13

I would love to make it, but I can't guarantee that considering how far it is for me anyway.

Go for whatever date works best for you guys.

Hey everybody! First post but long time lurker! I was just in the Tourneau in Water Tower yesterday and apparently they emptied their store of new Rolex stock, meaning the boutique is pretty much the only place left in downtown. Sydney Garber has maybe 15 to 20 pieces so not much to look at but I think they're the last AD close to Miracle Mile. Makes me sad thinking that the days of hunting Rolex from AD to AD are over :(. Anyway, it's nice to meet everyone and I hope I can make the meetup too!

Tourneau actualy runs that particular Rolex Boutique, so it was just a matter of time considering it's not that far to the other store.

I like all the ideas of places to visit. So lets come up with a plan.
11am meet at starbucks then head to TWC. Then Cartier??Then Swiss Fine Timepieces. Then maybe head north to Tourneau and maybe Omega?? James and Sons is nice but all the way on Clybourn and Sheffield area so that might be far away. Let me know your thoughts guys!

I would love to make it, but I'm gonna pass. That's the weekend of the NATO summit downtown. With about 50,000++ protesters, good luck trying to get down there. Check with some stores, as they might be close for that weekend.

I'll check. From what I have heard all the protests are going to be away from the Mag mile, but I could be wrong.
