Aquanaut 5164A vs 5168G ??

Hello,
The last thread give me more clearness so I know that I need a 5164A or a 5168G.
Because I think a Aquanaut should be also in my mall watch collection.
I never had the 5164A on the wrist, but I believe that this watch looks quite nice because it has no date window at 3 o clock. So maybe it’s the perfect Aquanaut.
Last time i had twice the 5167A but I sold it, because there was something I had missed. I don’t know was it the weight or was it something else?

Aquanaut 5164A vs 5168G ??

64... proportions are better especially the thickness in relation to case size. Its also more functional and its in SS. IMO its no contest and i really like the 5168G

i dislike those pushers on the left. if aquanaut then go for the chrono and buy a rolex GMT for when you need that function.

I really like them, balances the watch out really well, and one reason I prefer it to the 67.

it does... almost all watches are lopsided to the crown side with the crown and crown guard. This one the symmetry isnt just the dial and extends to the case

Same here. Easily the best integrated pushers on any watch I’ve owned. I wish the aquanaut chrono had the same setup.

I agree with Tom, Neil, and Tyler. Very cool design and a no brainer compared to 5168G

Can't go wrong with either, love them both... But got to admit the blue dial is a killer, hard to find, and plus on the strong resale value.......

I agree as well — and I am a BIG fan of the 5168 — I really had to sit and think for a min before I responded.

i heard (from an AD) that owners complain because they involuntarily touch the pushers with their skin during certain movements such that often enough local time is changed. is it true?

Never happened to me when I had the 5164 or my current 5990.

Happened to me twice or so over 3 years owning the 5164, so IMHO not a big issue...

No... however if you are in the habit of adjusting your watch position on your wrist by grabbing the case on each side and moving it then I could see how it could happen

the 64 for sure. the 5168g, imho of course, wears like a big blue pancake.

Hello,
Ohh is this horrible, I don’t know which version will fit my collection better...
I would love the 5168G because it’s white gold and i would like the weight on the one hand.
On the other hand I would like the different dial from the 5164.
Can I buy a 5168G when I have also the beautiful 5170P with the amazing blue dial in my small collection.

5164 is really nice. Have you considered the 5167r? Better proportioned than the 5168g.

Go 5164 to go with the 5170p

The 5167R is a quite nice watch but one rose gold is enough.
The only question is if the 5164A is a quite better choice than the 5168G.

+ 5168: white gold, heavyweight, beautiful dial
+ 5164: different dial, bigger case
