Update on broken Pepsi Ceramic back from RSC

Several months ago, I posted a photo of my shattered Pepsi ceramic. Many of you asked me for an update when I get it back, with a photos of which insert they replace it with.

It took a few months, the insert was on backorder. I ended up only being charged for shipping costs, (about $125). Shout out to Rolex!! Great customer service.

Here is a photo of before and after, won't let that happen again

No offense but I think it's bullshit that they didn't eat shipping.

Wow first time I see shattered pepsi insert. Let me ask you, what reference is this? Because on shattered picture the insert looks older and they replaced it with never version.

Nice.. Good on them for taking care of you. Do you still have the broken bezel or did you send it to them?

Maybe you should read the original thread before you slam Rolex too much. IMO the OP should have also paid for the new insert.

I totally agree my man. I deserved to pay in this case, big time.. That's why I would give them the biggest shout out I could in this case! Thanks for linking the original post!

They required the original to be sent in in order to be serviced under warranty.

How did you shatter the bezel? This
is the first time I've seen that happen.

This case is different in many ways.

But if you ever have a warranty repair needed, one of the benefits of buying from a local AD is they will take care of sending it in for you - and getting it back to you.

What happens if Bezel was shattered and owner threw it away?

Would RSC then reject the service?

Congrats!! That's great. This could have easily been MUCH more expensive. I'd gladly pay for shipping.

I took my GMT in to RSC Toronto due to a busted mainspring, and even thought my watch was no longer on warranty, they covered the cost of the repair.

Their customer service really does keep me coming back and because of that I hold the company in high regard. It's smart on their part.

Enjoy having your watch back!

Exactly, pretty decent of them to eat the cost on that

So let me get this straight...

You damaged your own insert by taking the watch apart and forcing it back together and received a new one for free.

😁😁😁😁😁😁

I wonder if you could’ve kept like half and told them it flew across a room and you didn’t find it then inclose it in acrylic as small paper weight for desk

😂

Glad to see they took care of it, Mark. $150 to solve that problem seems like a steal.

Most striking is how plain the watch looks without the bezel

Agree yes.
I just thought it would be nice to send in half and keep half as a memento. Just thinking what could ROLEX do if OP said half of it it shot across the room and he couldn’t find it.

Glad it’s fixed
