Rose Gold comeback?

Seems like I am seeing more people wearing RG in both Rolex and PP, and even AP.
Just curious if others getting same impression.

I would only consider Patek (5711R) and AP (26331OR) in RG, don’t like much else in that combo (maybe a 5524R)

I thought Rose Gold was the hottest metal for some time followed by white gold. I think it has now taken off in the Rolex line with the Rose GMT and may extend to other Rolex sport models at Basel. A Rose Gold Sub anyone?

RG is my favourite PM material but white gold and yellow gold has their charm too. AP/PP RG > Rolex RG which I find too "copper tone"

Unfortunately I’m not all crazy about Rolex rose gold. I wouldn’t call it rose I’d call it pink. Now AP on the other hand is remarkably beautiful. Patek too. The JLC Ultra Thin Moon is a really nice rose also. I wish Rolex would tone it back to normal rose.

RG is more subtle than YG and many SS are now priced ridiculously or hard to get so no surprise it is in the ascendant.

Patek’s RG is attractive. So is AP’s. I do think the Rolex everose is too copper, bronze or different than more standard rose gold.

I have a yellow gold Calatrava. I had a hard time selecting between RG and YG. I went YG on the theory that it was more classic and the RG was more trendy. No offense to anyone, I like them both. A friend has the exact same watch as me but in RG.

I like Patek's roses. They look great on chocolate brown straps. Goes extremely well with cream, ivory, brown and black dials.

of course RG is better than steel

but steel price sometimes is higher, and people still buy it lol

I did the same and chose yellow gold, I was surprised to see the rose gold version was £2000 more than the yellow

browsing the Patek brochure and they are not many other yellow gold options available.

I'm probably the minority but I prefer SS to RG and YG. If there is an alternative universe in which SS is more expensive than RG/YG, I will happily pay that premium. Very happy it's the other way round in this universe.

For me it depends on the reference... For now classic pieces like a 3940 or 5110 I prefer YG, for more modern stuff I like RG, even for a 5196 where I find the RG w silver dial hard to beat.

i feel rolex everose is more versatile than PP's roségold. the latter looks pretty much the same no matter what light, the former changes color a lot. in bright sunlight it is maybe too coppery but under any other lighting it is more beautiful to me.
still, i prefer YG, like in my daytona green::::))))

I’m with you. I can’t stand Rolex rose gold. It’s way too pink. I think Patek/AP do a great job though. Oddly enough though I prefer Rolex Yellow gold over Patek/AP. It’s nice to have options!

Not all of us lift man. Some of us are fat or really fat. Possibly with fat hands... So platinum is kind of heavy.

I prefer silver-tones myself and fortunately, the universe supports us.
