These 2 beauties were designed by the same man

Hello
I just acquired a Cartier pasha ref.2113 38mm Chrono with Frédéric Piguet 1185
The watch is from 1995 or around that time since it has a tritium dial.
I am really liking this watch and just ordered a leather band which I think will bring out the beauty of this watch.
What do you guys think

Growing up the Pasha was my favorite watch. I thought it was so elegant & looked so classy. It's funny how we get caught up and forget how amazing some pieces are. That's a killer duo.

I owned a Pasha and loved it. But I sold it and bought a roadster, which I also loved. Sold that to buy a Hulk (this was many years ago, when nobody liked the Hulk).

What drew me to this model is the movement and the amazing guilloche dial and case shape and proportions, wearing it I can really see Genta’s touch on the design(designed around 1985) .

When I first got into watches in the mid 90's these were all the rage. I remember really wanting one. Bought a Panerai instead though a few years later when I could afford a nice watch.
I'm still looking at them sometimes, but never pull the trigger somehow.

Lovely watch.

Pretty watch indeed, not sure how timeless the Pacha is though. I might grow out of love at some point if i owned it, due to the particular design.

My wife has a Pasha - time only, rose gold, 42mm. It is a beautiful watch.

They seem to have gone out of fashion, and then come back. A few years ago greys would tell me they'd pass on any Pasha that came their way. Now they're back in the window, and at quite high prices...

I personally love the Gerald Genta Bi-Retro models when it comes to Round case designs.

Lovely watch.

Funny this thread came up again as I picked up an early 2000s gmt model for my girlfriend not too long after I wrote the above comment!

Here’s a pic:

And, as of yesterday, the Pasha is back.

41mm and 35mm, very clean models. Cartier couldn’t let an iconic design rest.

For the OP, Thanks for reminding us all that Gerald Genta designed the Pasha (as well as the Royal Oak, Nautilus, Aquanaut and so many others)...

I took the bracelet off my Ballon Bleu 42mm and put on the Cartier Alligator strap - Holy Smokes!!! - it made it into such a great dress watch!!

Share a picture when you get your dress watch strap.....

I dont think GG designed the aquanaut. But i wont be surprised if it was deliberately patterned on the nautilus.

I have learned recently that the aquanaut was originally designed for army officers from a middle eastern country. Source: Horology_ancienne on instagram
