Patek Nautilus 5980 White Dial - Thoughts?

Been thinking of getting a 5980 white dial for a while and an opportunity just came up. Wonder what are thoughts?

Should I hold out for a blue or black? People always say PP makes lesser numbers of the white dial so wonder if that is a plus. Can't seem to find much review of the white dial though e.g. when it was released, discontinued etc.

In any case, I do have white dial watches and somehow I just have a natural liking for white color in general.

Cheers.

I think most importantly the dial color choice shouldn´t be based on production numbers of a certain reference. If I was to buy a 5980 I´d go for the black dial.

I like the white dial 5980/1A better than the blue and black ones but in the end I prefer the Nautilus references w thin case and no pushers.

My favorite of the 5980s is the white dial. No need to pay a premium for the blue or the black.

One thing I really like about the white dial is that the bulls eye is the same colour as the rest of the dial - makes it less obtrusive.
