Next watch: AP 15202st or PP 5164a?
I currently have 5711 and 5740, so I don’t plan to get another Nautilus. I think AP jumbo looks better than an aquanaut. But 5164 has more useful functions. Hard to decide.

Go 15202ST. Won’t regret it.

I think you answered your own question. You like a 202 more than a aquanaut so why not go with what you love aesthetically / on the wrist over having functions in a watch to be a deciding factor.

15202ST. The great thing about the 15202 is that if you own it you never need to buy another AP. It captures all of the purest design elements of the Royal Oak, is the perfect size and, if you can overlook the anachronistic movement, completely quenches the Royal Oak thirst.

I’d get the 64, especially as you already have the 5711, but both excellent choices.

Honestly, the functions on the 5164 are a bit of a joke - it is much faster to do travel time math in your head than pushing those buttons multiple times. Since you feel the 15202 looks better this is the answer.

Not sure I follow. If you’re on holiday for a week, set local time once, and then you’re done. You wouldn’t keep pushing the buttons.

Between my ears subtracting or adding the time difference runs automatically. No need for a complication that appears grossly overvalued in my book... but I know I am in the minority in that respect... Unfortunately I also don't like how those left side pushers alter the look of the Aquanaut case... Too each their own...

I humbly suggest the 15202. It's an icon and beautiful AF.

Only go for the AP once you have seen it live, in my personal experience, it is a very different watch in person than it is in pictures. I love the case but for me the dial was underwhelming compared to modern AP (thinking of the tapisserie). And I was absolutely in love with the 15202...so im just saying make sure you have seen it in person.

15202 by a long shot. Much better watch with a storied movement. The only downside is, you may end up wearing it more than your 5711.
This is all my opinion, of course. Buy what you love. |

Much prefer the 5164 having owned both I kept the 5164. Be prepared to be cursing every time you take the 15202 out to wear.

If you really like the AP, I'd sell the 5711 and get both, then you have arguably the best Nautilus, the best Aqua and an iconic AP.

If you are arguing convenience then the date set on the 202 is a far more often occurrence that many members here complain of all the time.

Next watch: AP 15202st or PP 5164a?
I got my 5164 back from service about a week back, it hasn't left my wrist since. It's so easy to wear, rubber is very versatile and it's just pretty close to perfect in my book. I have a 15300 blue and I love it as well but if I had to sell one, that would be the one.

5164a. I have both, the 15202 gets worn less. The 15202 is a PAIN to set time and date on, the crown is TINY and it feels like you are going to snap it turning it multiple times to reach the next hour. Forget about setting the date if it is 10 days away, there is no quick set function and you have to move the crown back and forth a few times just to switch it one day forward.
The 5164 never leaves my wrist, rubber is versatile and the crown action feels slightly better. |

I think you need an AP. Good to have both brands!

Its true that the jumbo is a pain to set, but keep it in a winder. It's worth it.
