Vintage rolex dial seller in Israel
I came accross this seller recently. I have never noticed him before.
His listing is kind of crazy, I'd like to know if this is à to good to be true story again. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/262949446459 |

Whist being far from an expert, allow me to venture an opinion …..
Although the watch is not an original dial, the rest of the watch is a genuine Rolex He makes no attempt to deceive (the original opening text description is accurate anyway) The listing is obviously from a “dial maker”, and far from hiding this fact, he advertises it vigorously Now compare what I’ve just typed with a typical fake Rolex attempt at a listing – totally different Next – look at the definition of “Cloisonne – it refers to a technique, not a “brand” So the only thing you could report him for is “plagiarism” on some of the designs – and if he changes just 10% of that design, then the charge doesn’t stick In my opinion, the thing that “saves” the listing, is the inclusion of pictures, listings, of other designs – even his web site. If this was an isolated “one off” listing that mentioned none of this – then the story would be different. Then you could argue that the economy of words leads the buyer to self-deceive, and this self-deception is positively encouraged by the seller. At this point, it becomes intended fraud. I’d say leave it – well done for flagging it up here though, as some unscrupulous individual might take advantage of this in the future As I’ve said, this is just my opinion – I have no idea of the criteria you apply when reporting items, (and I don’t wish to know). I leave that side of things to the “experts” ……. |

If it has the trade mark "ROLEX" or "OMEGA" its infringement and illegal.

Vintage rolex dial seller in Israel
I interpreted the text to read as a decorated Rolex dial. Suggesting the dial was authentic but with aftermarket decorating. It didn't appear to be an aftermarket dial featuring someone else's trademark. Perhaps I missed it.
It may be worth asking for clarification via their Contact Us page... Just a lay persons 2 cents. Sent from my cracked, broken, hand wound Phone |

Just leave the guy alone, he's not hurting anyone. Try and see the bigger picture here, he's not ripping anyone off, he's an artist not a conman.

The thing here, is that those dial do really exist. I have seen some watch with cloisonne dial goes for hundreds of thousands.
He does declare it, as an handmade piece, but in this case we should leave alone all the the Vietnamese seller because they state it has refinish. |
