SS Daytona C or PM Daytona Oysterflex

So I always thought the SS Daytona was a no brainer but now with the PM Daytonas available on the Oysterflex I'm not so sure. You can now swim with both of them vs previously the leather strap and the price difference is less than the full gold versions. Thoughts on the SS vs WG or for that matter YG?

WG, but only if you can change the rubber for leather.

I just don't like the idea of a Daytona on a rubber strap!

Yeah, although there is something about the SS Daytona. I have a broader collection and it seems like every Rolex collection needs a SS Daytona. That said I feel that you are right as well and if you can get a WG on Oysterflex it is just as practical and PM>SS. Hmmmmmmm....

doesnt have to be ceramic. could be paul newman, could be zenith movement, could be 16520.

if you are asking which i'd prefer it is the new WG on oysterflex. just something about it.

I'll second this. If I like the WG Oysterflex, the 116500 is gone. I'll then have a 519, 619 and 719.

I like a lot of my watches on rubber and heard great things about the oysterflex, so for me, giving up the bracelet isn't a big deal, which makes this an easy choice for myself.

The Basel reviewers seem to love the new WG so I'm really looking forward to that most of the new Basels.

The new Daytona is beautiful, but I have no interest in PM, so I'd probably buy the steel version and just add a RubberB strap.

I like the WG Daytona Oysterflex, but I would have to see one in the flesh to be sure. The Oysterflex is much more than a rubber strap and has innovative design elements. But to be sure, visit your AD first when they arrive and try on to be sure. Good luck! Cheers!

There is still at 16k difference in price between the two! But I hear you, the fold with oyaterflex is stunning, and I plan to add one to the collection once it can be had for a discount. As with all new releases, except for the 116500, the prices are always high when they first get released. Whatever you end up going with, I'm sure you'll be thrilled. They are both winners. Good luck!

WG is a stunner! I think I need some time to come to grips with a Daytona on rubber, or just a $30k watch on rubber, but I could probably do it.

The new Oysterflex Dayonas are winners in my book. You could always pick up a 116520 later to compliment and to scratch the SS itch, since the Oysterflex will scratch the ceramic itch. Sell your 116500 now at a great price and it's tough to lose

The good thing about the Oysterflex if you ever get an opportunity to give it a try is that it doesn't have the flimsy feel of traditional rubber straps. It's more like at a bracelet/rubber strap hybrid. Give it a try

I like the WG, got my name on the list... I can't wait to see it in person.
But I am definitely keeping my black 116500!

What is a "PM" Daytona?
I'm ignorant as to what "PM" stands for?
Shouldn't it be "PN" as in Paul Newman (dial/subdials).

Could be wrong, but I believe PM is being used to signify precious metal, i.e. YG or WG.
