I got an FCC HAM radio license in 1990. It was valid for 10 years. I remember seeing the "00" expiration date and thinking it was so cool, and far-off. I never renewed it, and it has been expired for 10 years.

D'OH!!!

I was first licensed in 1984. Mine expired around 2000 (during a period of inactivity), but I caught it within the grace period.

Pretty sure you could pass again without much effort.
