Question about polyimide tape & Cape Cod
Hey all, I would like to get rid of some hairline surface scratches on my PCLs that have been bothering me especially on the clasp. I already have a Cape Cod tin. I know some use masking tape but from what I've read polyimide tape aka Kapton tape is much better to work with both protecting the brushes outer links, staying in place and not leaving much if any residue. For those who have used it, what size is appropriate for the Oyster bracelet on a GMT IIc? I've measured 5mm but I'm not sure if I should order 5mm or 10mm to wrap it around. What size have you guys used and have you been satisfied with the results?
If there is a better solution for covering the brushed links I welcome all suggestions. Thanks.
