I remember when I visited AP NYC when they first launched 15400 and their service was top notch. Good to hear that they're still doing well. I would also recommend a 15500 unless its really big on your wrist; 15500 has the new improved bigger movement versus the old 1185 chrono in the ROC that you can't see. I prefer the older panda to the new 38mm ROCs. |

I find the feedback from the NYC boutique disappointing. I bought a 26331 last year from them and enquired about a 15407 and blue 15550 last month (beginning of March)
On the 15407, they said they were fully allocated for this year which I believe. On the 15550, I was given the same feedback but looks this isn’t the case with other users putting deposits down and getting quoted within the year |

Rolex is the worst. Period.
For a company they makes well over 1 million watches a year They try to play the wait list game like pp or AP I wonder how many buy to use versus how many buy to flip They should blacklist all the flippers |

I presume this is the case for the steel versions of these two watches, but what about the rose gold versions? Are they equally as hard to acquire?

Definitely not. You should be able to source either RG version much more easily. I had purchased 2 Royal oaks before I got my 15202, but even then, I know I got really lucky. The other guy who was allocated one of the first 2 15202ST’s had bought almost $800k worth of AP’s last year alone. The boutique will likely get only 4 more jumbos (after those first 2) for the rest of the year. I’m also waiting on one of the first of the 26480ti’s to arrive, which will be my 4th AP Even with all of that, they told me at least a 2 year wait for the 15407 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The AP NYC Boutique has been consistently excellent and is a pleasure to deal with in every possible way. What you are quoted is what will happen.

In agreement with much being said here. My 5 year relationship with my established AD was affected with Rolex new policies. There simply seems to be too much demand. I got the BLNR the year after the release 2014 and while they were selling, it would take 3-4 weeks to get the next piece. I got it for $7100 after VAT removal and a 10% discount was applied. I felt fortunate to get the BLRO last June but already noticed there were no discounts and their allocation was thin. They were quotations 7-10 year waitlists! Crazy. Now, I will wait for 4 years for a SkyDweller? I travel a lot and these GMTs make a difference.
I am trying to make a crack at RO. I love them but now disappointed about these crazy waitlists. Encouraged to hear the optimism on the Boutiques. I’ll give that a try. Thanks y’all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I understand that for the 15407. However the feedback on the 15550 is inconsistent with what’s been mentioned in this thread which is the disappointing bit

Anyone have experience with the new boutique in Atlanta? A nice SA there put me on a "wish list" for the blue 15500 (I filled out a form) but didn't ask for deposit. Should I offer to place a deposit to secure a piece?

Is there a waitlist for the 15500 none blue dials?

without no purchase history with mayors I would say it's very difficult, they will not accept a deposit even if you offer.

Thanks, I tentatively enquired a week ago about the silver dial and was told next year sometime. Received a phone call today to say they have had an extra allocation of a black dial and it's mine if I want it. Was just checking to see if wait lists are real.

I purchased a 15202OR from them last year and have recently been looking at their stock of Lange's so I'm not a new customer to them. |

15202OR is a gorgeous watch. The previous purchases and relationship explains why you were offered one in a week. If blue dial not on the radar, grey is just as cool.

yes and no, if there is no boutique in your country / area they make exception and deliver boutique only models to ADs for specific clients. I read this somewhere here on TRF but not sure if it's easy allocation.

I can’t speak for other countries but in the U.K. the blue dial is 100% boutique only. O&R in Leeds we’re allocated 1no. 15202 pa until about 18 months ago and now don’t get any.

Also ATL is not AP but a third party boutique so I cannot speak to their operating procedures but with NY or Miami, you have not been allocated anything until they ask for a deposit. (whales may be exempt)

do AP ADs "require" purchase history like some rolex ADs? Thinking in a few years I might want to try my hand at getting an AP.

Depends what you're after. The good thing about AP is their sports watch lineup is deep unlike say Patek. You can absolutely walk in and buy an offshore.

I went there a few days ago. Was OK but didn't seem as slick as other Boutiques. Its run by Mayors who own the Rolex dealer next door so thats probably why. Also not very big. In terms of a blue 15500 I would be surprised if they would get you one as an initial purchase. When I was there a lot of foot traffic was coming in via the Rolex store. They did have a few nice pieces in stock including a Ghost. Sales staff were good but I was not impressed with the store in terms of luxury experience.
