I passed on a Sundust RG DD40 that was actual at an AD brand new and for sale. The dial just didn't do it for me. I never thought of the potential upgrade to another dial once I have owned the watch long enough so that Rolex would allow a dial swap. I didn't think this was possible until I read about guys on here having it done.
Now a RG DD40 seems pretty far out of reach for me. Just going to save my pennies, and by the time I am ready money wise, maybe they'll be available with a discount again. So for now, and the foreseeable future, I will just be sporting my group of peasant watches.

Love the RG DD. Interesting to hear about how it goes with certain skin tones. I was always under the impression that the RG looks best with “warmer” skin tones. Is that not the case?

I have tried multiple DD40 over the past week - WG, YG, RG. It seems no issues with supplies. Cases are full. No chance for Olive green dial though.
I should be picking up RG Chocolate dial with Roman numerals in a couple of days. Will post pics when I get it. |

I was there on holiday.
So I tried: YG: white roman, diagonal motif and champagne roman WG: blue roman and they had other WG which I did not try RG: sundust roman, chocolate sticks, chocolate roman and they had olive green but with diamond bezel. There is also 12% VAT tax return. |

Purchased a Day Date for my 60th birthday. Ordered in June and hoping to receive this month. Went with the YG 40mm Champagne dial with diamond markers. Researched for 3 months before coming to that decision. Classic, timeless, can wear with everything, and stunning. Rose gold is less so in my opinion.

With this kind of matters, I think it’s best to deal directly with RSC. They know much better compared to the ADs.
In my case it was also HQ for the region. I paid 900 euro for new dial + labor. The price was marked up by 40% because I opted to keep the old dial. So in your case 500 USD is fair, even on the low side. |
