New Member from Atlanta Metro
Good morning folks. Just joined and thought I would introduce myself.
I’m an avid collector of stuff I definitely don’t need. Many fountain pens, cameras, a number of watches both vintage and new and so on. I have several old family watches both pocket and wrist and most of them I actually wear. None of these have great monetary value but they have great sentiment attached. Now in the past I’ve purchased some (from my perspective) not inexpensive watches but I’ve never gone beyond the $1,500 mark. Somehow that was my upper limit. Sadly, last week I was on a plane next to a gentleman wearing a Rolex that just struck me. A little research and a visit to a local dealer and I’m hooked on a 36mm or 41mm white gold and stainless with MOP face and diamond hour markers. I’m going to have to scratch this itch I can tell. So I’m here to learn a bit, make some new friends and figure out whether to buy my first pre-owned or new. And yes, I did say my first! So hello folks! What have I gotten into? |
