Seiko Blue Turtle
I just purchased a new Seiko Blue Turtle from Seiko Boutique in NYC over the phone. I don't have it yet, should be here next week. However, I am starting to get a little concerned on the authenticity for the following reasons:
1) I doesn't come with the original Seiko Turtle box (Black with blue trim). 2) the caseback says "Movement Japan" after the movement number which is 4R36-06A0. I am asking if anyone who has a blue turtle could post a picture of the caseback to see if it is the same as the one I am getting. I have a picture of the caseback in the watch that I will be getting. Thank you! |

I have been questioning if there are fake Blue Lagoon watches coming out of the Philippines as there seems to be a never ending supply from there on eBay.
If true, my speculation is that someone has access to parts from the factory in Malaysia or Singapore and are making Franken watches. Having said that, I think it is the height of paranoia to think that you would get a fake $550 watch from the NYC Seiko Botique. If there is one place in the world you should be able to trust the authenticity of a Seiko watch, it would be from a Seiko Botique. |

I included a photo of the box as well. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk |

Thank you all for your help! The caseback looks the same. This was the first time I ever purchased a watch without seeing it in person.
Thanks again ! |

Congrats on the Blue Turtle. These Seiko's divers are my favorites.
